LU BEDDU WINES OF SARDINIA

OUR HISTORY BEGINS IN THE YEAR 1974

The story of Lu Beddu begins in 1974, when Marisa, originally from Luino,  was on vacation in northern Sardinia. After visiting various places, she fell in love with what the locals call “the garden of Arzachena”. The vision of that place impressed her to the point of involving her husband Fiorenzo, who, once he had arrived at Lu Beddu, was also fascinated by the place. His ideas were clear as always, and confirmation to follow through came from the results of analyses that he himself conducted on the ground, which showed characteristics suitable for planting a vineyard and for grape production.

In 1975 the first vineyard consisting solely of Vermentino was planted; the grapes produced were transferred to a cooperative winery in Gallura.

In 2007, Fiorenzo decided to differentiate the production by inserting the Cannonau, despite the conflicting opinion of the technicians who supported him.
